Gardens

The land here at TOAD Hall has been used for centuries to grow food for this community, it seems right to continue with this wholistic process.

Traditionally there were large kumara plots which transitioned into a market garden space known as Frys Fruit Bowl.

Over the past 17 years our commitment to sustainability and the environment has seen us add hundreds of tonnes of organic compost and Biodynamic preparations to the soil whilst removing weeds and rubbish from the land.

In 1998 we started our Market garden journey which is a slow and passionate process.  You will see lots of our produce in-store and even more on your plate in the restaurant.

This is a work in progress that excites us with all of the possibilities.
